Canceling "unprecedented" deputy and judicial immunity will promote restoring confidence in the government and creating quality judicial system. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this in a TV program "Svoboda Slova" on Monday.
Volodymyr Groysman believes that the respective bill on amendments to the Constitution will be upheld by deputies on this Thursday. "This issue is the moment of truth for every deputy", he said.
In words of the Chairperson of the Parliament, immunity shall be kept only regarding freedom of political expression and legislative activity of a deputy, but committing economic or corruption crimes shall be punished according to legislation.
